Elden T. Evans

EVANS ELDEN T., January 10, 1924 – December 31, 1988

TWIN FALLS – Elden T. Evans, 64, of Hagerman, and former Malad resident, died December 31, 1988 at a Twin Falls hospital.

He was born January 10, 1924 in Malad to Thomas A. and Davinah E. Atkinson Evans. He was a graduate of Malad High School.

He served in the Air Force during World War II and was stationed Okinawa.

He married Ruth E. Sheffield October 7, 1952 in Elko, Nevada.

He lived in Salt Lake City for 25 years where he was employed with Garrett Freightlines as a truck driver. In 1976 he moved to Hagerman. He was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Hagerman; a son, Thomas E. Evans, Dandy, UT; a stepson, James Earl Beach, Salt Lake City; a daughter, Mrs. Blaine (Janet Beth) Richardson, Sandy; four grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Marion Evans, Malad; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Vera May) Burns, Bountiful, UT; and his mother, Malad. He was preceded in death by his father and a a brother, Ernest.

Funeral services were held January 4 at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home. Military rites were accorded by American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65 at the Malad City Cemetery.
