Graveside rites at St. John Thursday for Edward Hill, 60
Graveside rites will be conducted here Thursday afternoon, Oct 2nd, for Edward Hill, age 60, who died Monday afternoon at Bannock Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at Manning Funeral Home, Pocatello. at 1 p.m. where friends may call prior to services. Bishop John Pincock of Pocatello 15th LDS Ward will officiate.
Mr. Hill was born Dec. 29, 1908 at Malad, a son of Edward N. and Annie E. Evans Hill. He spent his early life in the Elkhorn area and attended schools there. Mr. Hill farmed at Malad and Fort Hall and has been employed by Pacific Fruit Express for the past 27 years.
He married Fairlie Jones, April 30, 1938, at Logan and they received their endowments Oct. 26, 1968, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was an elder in the Pocatello LDS 15th Ward. He had been active in the Boy Scout program at Fort Hall and was a member of the American Federation of Labor, No. 404.
‘Surviving are his widow; two sons, Albert D., Pocatello; Don Edward, Butte, Montana; two grandsons, Pocatello; two brothers, Ben, Blackfoot; Mathew, Malad; three sisters, Mrs. Taul (Mame) Greer, Roy, Utah; Mrs. Willard (Edith) Archibald, Pocatello; Mrs. Bill (Katie) Clark, Blackfoot.
