Edd Barnes

Edward “Edd” M. Barnes, 39, of Pocatello and former Downey resident, died late Friday, Sept. 23, 1994, as a result of injuries received in a pick-up truck accident near Lava Hot Springs.

He was born December 8, 1954, in Downey, a son of Carl E. and Anavoe Mangum Barnes. He grew up and was educated in Downey, and was a graduate of Marsh Valley High School class of 1973.

He married Kristy Kae Hainline, and they were later divorced. Mr. BArnes [Barnes] had been in the home carpentry business for many years, and in the past few had a concrete business, Barnes Construction.

He enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by his parents, Carl E. and Anavoe Barnes, of Downey; one son, Edward Landon, of Pocatello; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel Drew (Mandalynn Michele) Kendall of Pocatello and Stephanie Joe Barnes, also of Pocatello; two brothers, Lyle Barnes, Downey, and David Barnes of Pocatello; three sisters, Julie Sorensen of South Jordan, Utah, Carla Matern of Riverton, Utah, and Lory Jewett of Murray, Utah. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Bren Kristen.

Funeral services were held Tuesday. September 27, 1994 in the Downey LDS Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Coy Pratt officiating. Burial was in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
