Edward Blaine Price, 74, of Malad City, passed away surrounded by his family on April 16, 2026.
Blaine was born on August 15, 1951, in Caldwell, Idaho. He grew up in Parma and relocated to Darlington, Idaho, his senior year, where he graduated from Butte County High School in 1969. He was known as an outstanding wrestler. It was also during his senior year in Arco that he met the love of his life, JoAnn Daniels. The two became high school sweethearts and were married on August 27, 1970, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple.
Blaine and JoAnn started their family in the Lost River Valley with their firstborn, Shane, in 1971, followed by three beautiful daughters, Penny, Wendy, and Ginger. In 1994 they made their home in Malad City, where Blaine and JoAnn purchased the Malad Living Center, and established the Lazy E Ranch at Oxford Springs. Blaine was a hardworking man who worked hard so he could play hard.
Blaine was a very adaptive man who developed many skills throughout his life that offered him the ability to have a varied work history. He served as a deputy sheriff for Butte County and worked in security at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), along with a career filled with many years behind the wheel supporting multiple trucking companies including his own.
Blaine loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, snow machining, motorcycle racing, rock crawling in his jeep, and shooting guns with his friends. He had many hobbies and talents such as leatherwork and competitive shooting. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them which involved spending time on his tractor with his grandchildren.
Blaine is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn Price, of 55 years; his children, E. Shane Price of Tremonton, Utah; Penny Hubler (Shane) (Cortney, Brittney, Whitney, Spencer) of Ammon, Idaho; Wendy Wilson (Sydney, Radley, Landen, Max) of Arco, Idaho; and Ginger Price (Barret, Tristin, Hayes) of Malad City, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Varlo and Nora Price; his sister, Nonnie Sue Dowdle; and granddaughter Sydney Gamett.
Blaine will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of family, kind heart, the many memories he created with those he loved, and his ability to give the best life advice with only a few words.
