EDNA STONE

PRESTON — Edna May Wakely Stone, 78, of Preston, died Thursday in Smithfield, Utah.

She was born Aug, 12, 1907, in Downey, the daughter of Luther and Francis Emma Bloxham Wakely. She married Hilliard C. Stone Nov. 22, 1926, in Preston. He died May 13, 1966.

She was a retired railroad clerk and member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by one son, Robert C. Stone, Preston; three granddaughters, Mrs. Randy (Kristy Lou) Larsen, Karen and Lisa Stone; and a great-grandson, Trevor Larsen, all of Preston.; one brother, Reed Wakely, Blackfoot. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Don Wakely.

Funeral services will be Monday at noon in the Preston 5th-8th LDS Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Lloyd Balls. Friends may call the Webb Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the mortuary Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery.
