Edith Ann Nelson (Nielson) Smart 1927-2010 Edith Ann Nelsen (Nielsen) Smart passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at her home in Boise. Edith was born May 2, 1927 in Malad, Idaho to Raymond and Ann Evans Nielsen and grew up in Weston, Idaho. She graduated from Weston High School in 1945. Edith married Doland Page in 1946 and they had one son, Timothy, and later divorced. In 1949 she married DeMar Smart, of Dayton, Idaho in the Logan Temple and they soon settled in Magna, Utah. In 1953 they had a daughter, Connie and in 1958 they had a son, Raymond, bringing the family total to five. Edith was very active in the LDS church and held many numerous callings. She made many life-long friendships from her church associations. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sheldon, son, Tim and grandson, Damon. She is survived by her husband, DeMar Smart; children, Connie and Raymond; sister, Betty Mason; also 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. A private family graveside service is planned for Edith. She will be interred at Valley View Cemetery at West Valley City, Utah.
