Earl Bryant “Rusty” Tubbs, 16, of Samaria, passed away May 2, 1996 at his home. He was born February 24, 1980 in Tremonton, UT, a son of Don W. and Theresa Lee Bryant Tubbs.

He was a sophomore at Malad High School where his friendship and sense of humor were valued by many. He was member of the Rodeo Club, football and wrestling teams and attended LDS Seminary.

He enjoyed scouting, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, riding bulls, playing basketball, baseball, agriculture and auto mechanics. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a Priest in the Malad Second Ward.

He is survived by his father, Don Tubbs and wife Carlean of Samaria; mother, Theresa “Teri” Nieffenegger and husband Carl, of Malad; one brother, Lincoln Tubbs, Filer, ID; four sisters, Shelly Donn (Troy) Allen, Logan, UT; Malynda Jean (Neil) Summers, Grand Junction, CO; Angie Lee Tubbs (and fiancé Mike Murphy)< Fullerton, CA; and Ginger Tubbs, Samaria; two nephews, Paden and Dillon and a niece, Amanda; two step sisters, Jeannie and Alexis Plowman, three step brothers, Devin Plowman, Kortney and Trevor Nieffenegger; grandparents, Earl and Betty Tubbs, Bull Canyon; Ralph and Caroline White and great grandmother, Laura Coy, Thayne, WY; step grandparents, LaVere and Joyce Nieffenegger, Malad; Carl and Jean Call, Dublan, Mexico.

Funeral services were held May 7 in the Malad Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Max Firth officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
