DON LOVELL (BUD) PECK

Don L. (Bud) Peck dies; funeral held Tuesday

Don Lovell (Bud) Peck, age 83 of Malad,. died Saturday morning [Oct. 16, 1976] at a Pocatello hospital.

He was born Oct. 3, 1893 at Malad to Charles Henry and Anna Maria Bywater[sic] Peck.

He married Lulu Benson on Nov. 22, 1922, at Malad.

He was a retired farmer, and was educated in the Malad schools. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He was an avid horseman and hunter. He was a member of Ernest W. Jones Post, American Legion, and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his widow of Malad; a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Lou Donna) Day, Downey; a brother, Jay Lou Peck, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

FUNERAL SERVICES

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Darrell Swartz officiating.

Raiford[sic] G. Benson offered the family prayer, Joe Daniels delivered the invocation.

Michael Simon gave the obituary, and Eldon Corbridge was speaker.

Bishop Swartz offered remarks.

Vocal selections were sung by Dolores Bloxham, Ona[sic] Whitaker and Venna[sic] Criddle[sic], Ruth Jones was accompanist.

Bishop Ross I. Benson delivered the benediction.

Concluding rites were held at the Downey City Cemetery where Vern Bloxham offered the dedicatory prayer. The Fourth Ward Relief Society and the World War I Auxiliary were in charge of flowers.

Honorary bearers were World War I Veterans and John G. Nielsen.

Military rites were provided by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65, Malad.

Casket bearers were Dennis Day, Michael Simon, Ellis Gilbert, Craig Bloxham, Dennis Phillips and Dough Balis[sic].
