Della A. Lombardi, 84, Boise, Idaho, died Friday afternoon, February 21, 1997 in the St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise following complications following surgery.
Della was born November 21, 1912 at Downey, Idaho to Horace Robert and Katherine Astella Isom Bloxham.
She married James Lombardi on September 21, 1934 at Pocatello, Idaho. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1987.
Della enjoyed gardening, sewing, bowling, bridge and singing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She served as a volunteer at election polls in Pocatello, as a civil defense representative, RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and as a volunteer in the Senior Citizens’ Center. She was also a member of the Silver Cords Senior Group Chorus, a member, secretary, and president of Old Times Club UPRR Auxiliary.
Della was loving, caring, and devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and then her friends and community.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol and Robert Mulick of Boise; Diana and Chick Sanford of Mackay, Idaho; Joan and Rondell England of Pocatello; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and three brothers, Darwin Bloxham of Rigby, Idaho; Bud Bloxham of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; and Theon Bloxham of Shasta Lake, California. She was preceded in death besides her husband by a sister, Amy Morgan, and three brothers, Dwayne Bloxham, Stan Bloxham and Robert Bloxham.
Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday, March 1, 1997 at 11 a.m. in Mountainview Cemetery, Section 43 West, Pocatello, with Bishop Terrell Bloxham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henderson Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello, Idaho.
