FUNERAL HELD AT CLARKSTON FOR DAVID THOMPSON, 87
Funeral services were held Monday at Clarkston LDS Ward Chapel for David Thompson, age 87, who died August 16, 1968 at a Logan hospital after a long illness. Burial was at the Clarkston Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born at Clarkston on Nov. 9, 1880. He married Emma Jane Buttars in1901 and she died in 1919. He married Annie Campbell Williams on May 27, 1936. A life-long resident of Clarkston, he was engaged in farming and had worked at the U & I sugar factory in Garland for many years. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church.
Surviving are his widow and three sons and two daughters: Ervin Thompson, Shelley, ID; Mrs. Emery (Melba) Hess, Fielding, UT; Willis Thompson, Clarkston; Mrs. Merlin (Veeda) Cottle, Pocatello, ID; Reuben Thompson, Emmett, ID; two step-daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Margaret) Jones and Mrs. John (Norma) South, Malad; 37 grandchildren and 79 great grandchildren.
