DAVID S. PIERCE

DAVID E. PIERCE DIES SUNDAY AT SALT LAKE

Funeral services were held at Elko, Nevada Wednesday for David S. Pierce, 63, who died in a Salt Lake City hospital Sunday of a heart ailment.

Mr. Pierce was born at St. John Sept. 24, 1895, a son of Thomas and Nettie Morgan Pierce. He married Jessie Tanner at Grantsville, Utah in 1926. He was a veteran of World War I, member of the American Legion, Elks and Eagles lodges; and had been employed by the Commercial Hotel for a number of years.

He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Beryl) Hoover Willits, Pasadena, Calif.[California]; a son, Stanley W. Pierce, Las Vegas; three grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters, W. S. Pierce, Aberdeen; Kate Nielsen, John Pierce; Ogden; Evan Pierce, Terreton, Idaho; Mrs. Alvin (Margaret) Camp, Mrs. Mary P. Thomas, Malad.

Those attending the services were W. S. Pierce, Sherman Pierce, Aberdeen; Evan Pierce, Terreton; Mr. and Mrs. John Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Norris, Ogden; Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Camp, Malad.
