David H. Roderick

David H. Roderick, 76, died at his home in Montpelier Friday, February 23. [1990]

He was born March 9, 1913 in Arbon to David and Elizabeth Hawkins Roderick.

He married Nelda Taylor on April 3, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and Brotherhood of Railway Trainment. He was a sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting especially.

He was survived by his wife, Nelda; a daughter, Juday Swa, Soda Springs; a son, D. W. Roderick, Kaysville, Utah; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph, Salt Lake City; Jed, Bountiful, Utah; and Earl, Pocatello; and four sisters, Ivene Williams, Myrle Togitiu, Beth Dorsey and Zenda Taylor, all of Salt Lake City. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Montpelier Stake Center. Burial was in the Montpelier cemetery.
