Darlene Wilson Williams, (1919)

Born June 30, 1919 oldest of six children of Guy L. and Margerite J. Wilson in Malad, Idaho, Darlene grew up living in several different towns in Idaho and Utah.
She met the love of her life, Benjamin A. Williams in Malad, Idaho. They married on August 30, 1937 in Malad. Their first home was in Ogden, Utah. Later they moved to San Francisco where Ben volunteered for service in the Navy in 1942. Darlene returned to Lehi, Utah to help with family. When her husband returned from duty, they settled in San Francisco where they stayed until Darlene’s mom became ill. They returned to Ogden and made their home raising their two sons, Ben and Craig. Darlene’s husband died in 1992. She stayed in Ogden until 2000 when she moved to Mt. Pleasant with her son Ben and daughter in law, Dixie.
In 2006 she became a resident of Autumn Park Assisted Living Center. Darlene loved being with her family, cooking, sewing, patchwork quilts, fishing and camping.
Darlene is survived by her sons Ben (Dixie) and Craig (Linda) Williams, grandchildren Bruce (Michelle), Dale, Rex Williams, Becky (Ken) Ivory, nine great grandchildren, brothers Eldon (Gerry) LeNoy, (Helen) Merrill (Karen) Wilson, sister, Fae George Wilson.
Preceded in death by husband, Benjamin A. Williams, sister and brother-in-law Melvin and Margaret E. Thornton, grandson, Jeffery B. Williams and her parents.
Memorial service at Rasmussen Mortuary on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing prior to service at 9:00 a.m. Interment at 2:30 p.m. in Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street Ogden, UT. On-line condolences available at rasmussenmortuary.com
