DANIEL T. JONES

Funeral Services were held today, Thursday, at the Stake Tabernacle for Daniel T. Jones, who died at his home on Monday, November 20, after an illness of seven months with heart trouble.

Bishop O. H. Mabey presided at the services. The opening prayer was offered by W. H. Richards, Sr. The speakers were H. I. Mills, J. M. Isaacson, R. N. Hill and Bishop Mabey. Musical numbers were focal (sic) solos by Ruel Ipsen, Stillman Harris, Mrs. Kate E. Jones and Margaret E. Jones.

Interment was in the Malad cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Guy Benson.

Mr. Jones, the son of William T. and Mary E. Jones was born at Hyrum, Utah, on the 9th day of February 1877. In 1886 he came to Malad, where he has since made his home. On February 3, 1895, he was married to Mary Jane Thomas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thomas.

Mr. Jones is survived by his widow, thirteen of his sixteen children, Mrs. Ruth Dives, Mrs. Mary Parry, Mrs. Eleanor Williams, Eugene Jones, Mrs. Pearl Jones of Malad; Lillie Jones of Ogden, Leda Ipsen of Pleasantview, Mrs. Fern Vanover, Lester, Otto, Max, Len and Steven Jones, all of Malad; two brothers, John T. and Lorenzo Jones and five sisters, Mrs. Ruth McKay, Mrs. Mary Ellen Thomas, Mrs. Margaret Thomas, Mrs. Lizzie Hughes and Mrs. Janie Evans.
