Funeral Friday For Daniel Hughes
Funeral services for Daniel Hughes, 84, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Samaria Ward LDS Chapel. Bishop Carl A. Evans will officiate.
Mr. Hughes died Tuesday evening at the Oneida Hospital of Pneumonia. He was born at Logan on January 22, 1875, a son of Gomer and Jane Roberts Hughes and married Emeline Jones on Feb. 4, 1884, at Malad. He was a farmer and a member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jane Hughes, Samaria; Kathryn Watts, Reno, Nevada; Margaret Netcher, Vale, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, David Hughes, Samaria; Robert E. Hughes, Salt Lake City; Ronald Hughes, Sacramento, California; Catherine Cowley, Logan.
Friends may call at the Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and at the Samaria Ward chapel Friday after 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Samaria cemetery.
