DAN CAMPBELL WILLIAMS

My Eternal Companion for 69 years passed away January 22, 2011 due to complications of a stroke.

Dan Campbell Williams was born April 1, 1918 in Malad, ID to Joseph and Pearl Williams. He lived a full life and died at the age of 92. He married Merle Rose on October 24, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a very active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions, as well as serving two Stake Missions. He worked for J.C. Penney’s for 40 years, being a store manager in Utah, Montana and Wyoming. He loved being out-doors especially hunting, fishing and his horses. His passion was going to see his BYU football games.

He is survived by his wife, Merle, four sons, Dan (Pam); Craig (Linda); Brett (Dianne); Randy (Lori); 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, three brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.

There will be a viewing from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd. on Saturday, January 29, 2011. A graveside service will be held after the viewing at the Murray Cemetery.

We would like to thank all those who cared for him at the Lodge at Jordan River and Cozy Hospice.
