Dale Abbott Wilcox, 24 October 1915

BOUNTIFUL – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Dale Abbott Wilcox died June 2, 2002 in Bountiful, UT after a lifetime of service to his family, friends and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dale was born October 24, 1915 in Holbrook, ID to Ebenezer Orlando Wilcox, Jr. and Kjersti Eugenia Nordberg Wilcox and was raised in Fielding, UT. He completed his first LDS mission to South Africa. After his return, he attended LDS Business College. He served almost four years in the Army Air Force during World War II.

He married Evelyn Osborn on May 15, 1942 in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with four children. Dale worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years. After retirement he returned to South Africa with Evelyn, where they worked together in the Johannesburg Temple with Dale serving in the temple presidency and as a sealer. He later served as a sealer in the Bountiful, UT temple.

Dale is survived by his wife, Evelyn, children Kristine Hall (Charles), Wendy Beesley (Frederick), Mark Wilcox (Susan), Camille Carlson (David), 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and his brother, Blaine A. Wilcox.

The funeral will be held June 8, 2002 at the Barton Creek Ward Chapel, Bountiful. Dedication and burial will take place at Fielding Cemetery.
