CLYDE W. THOMPSON, 72, DIES AT BUTTE, MONTANA

Clyde W. Thompson, age 72, of Butte, Montana, died November 1, 1976. He was born Sept. 24, 1904 at Clarkston, UT to William C. and Edith Neilson Thompson.

His father died when he was two years old. When he was nine he came to live in Malad with his uncle and aunt Arthur M. and Mary P. Williams, who later adopted him.

He married Laura Paddock on Sept. 24, 1925. She died Dec. 31, 1972. He married Edith Sorensen, Nov. 13, 1973.

A resident of Wise River, Montana since 1927, he was a rancher and cattleman until his death.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Donald Thompson, Wise River; three daughters, Mrs. jack (LauraLu) Boyer, Wise River; Mrs. Richard (Kay) Schmidt, Pasco, WA; Mrs. Charles (Suzanne) Ohman, Anaconda, MT; three sisters, Idella Ricks and Lucy Riggs, Benson Ward, UT; Alverta Rogers, Tremonton, UT; half brothers and sisters: Nudgent Doyle, Boise; Mary Colton and Edith Arrington.

Eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two stepsons, one step daughter and three step grandchildren. One foster brother and five foster sisters; Arthur T. Williams, Malad; Penelope Morris and Eva Jones, Ogden; Jane Jardine, Clarkston; Naomi Folland, SLC; Ruth Bennett, Hawthorne, CA.

Funeral services for Mr. Thompson were held at the LDS Church in Butte with Bishop Clifford Larson officiating. Interment was in Wisdom, MT. Funeral arrangements were by Sayatovic-White’s Funeral Home.
