Clyde Archibald Peay

Clyde Archibald Peay, 76, passed away February 22, 2009 after a valiant battle with lung cancer. He was born September 19, 1932 in Malad, ID the son of Clyde and Laura Archibald Peay. He attended elementary school in ID and his secondary school years in UT. Clyde was married and divorced twice before he met and married his sweetheart, Kathryn Viio on October 7, 1989.
Clyde was a member of the LDS River Parkway Ward. He was a volunteer for Ogden City. He enjoyed gardening, reading, studying history and traveling. He loved children and often played Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy for the neighborhood children.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn: children, Thomas (Loraine) Montaque of Toole, Robert Montaque of Moab, Laura Montaque of Moab and Bryan (Tamara) Montaque of Harrington, Margot (Edwardo) Lopez of Ogden; Clyde was also a step-father to two daughters; his special friend Chance Nelson of Bountiful; 23 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Jake (Kathryn) Peay of Ogden and sister Myrna (Karl) Yocom of Pleasant View. He is also survived by his beloved pets; Charlie and Daisy. Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the River Parkway Ward, 1050 21st St., Ogden. Friends may call on Friday, February 27th at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
