BRIGHAM CITY-Cleo R. McCrary Nielsen, 76, passed away peacefully at Sunshine Terrace Nursing Home in Logan, Utah on Feb. 7, 1995.

She was born on Aug. 27, 1918 in Portage, Utah, a daughter of Milton Robert and Pearl Allen McCrary.

She married Chase Jay Nielson on July 17, 1946 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She attended and graduated from Bear River High School and worked at DOD during WWII. She was a member of the LDS Church, serving as a primary teacher and many other positions until her health dictated otherwise.

She loved music, cooking, sewing, handiwork and especially loved being with her family and friends. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed roses and pansies very much. She traveled and lived in numerous places stateside as well as overseas and moved to Brigham in 1962.

She is survived by her husband, Chase, Brigham City; sons Terry J. (Bev), Logan; Gregory B. (Jeanne) Nielson Brigham City; a daughter, Sherrie L. (Jeff) Wendal, Brigham City, and her eight beautiful grandchildren. Other survivors include, two sisters, May Laursen, Brigham City and Mrs. Beverly (Jerry) Timmons, Kaysville; three brothers; Mr. Farrell McCrary, Brigham City; Mr. Boyd McCrary, Portage, and Mr. Don (Pat) McCrary, Odgen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

The family would like to thank Sunshine Terrace and its nurses and aides who assisted with the care of their mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, 1995 at 12 noon at the Brigham City 20th Ward Chapel, 650 Anderson Drive. Friends may call Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. At Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St. Logan, and at the ward from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to services.

Burial will take place in Hyrum City Cemetery.
