
WILLIAMS, CLEM B., November 15, 1924 – August 14, 2004
Clem Benjamin Williams, 79, of Cherry Creek, passed away at his home on August 14, 2004. He was born November 15, 1924 in Malad, a son of Ben and Nora Bell Williams. He graduated from Malad high School, where he was active in boxing, and was a Golden Glove contender. He served in World War II under Gen. Patton, and was decorated with five stars.
Clem married Vaudis Estep in 1946. They had three children and later divorced. He married Louise Lewis in 1969 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Clem had a love for music and played guitar, sang and wrote many songs. He was an avid sports fan and supporter of Malad High School and little league baseball. He loved horses and was involved in chariot racing. Clem was a member of the Fifth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lou of Malad; three children living in Oregon; Cheryl (Larry) Scheer; Kim (Candy) Williams and Sandy Williams; two stepdaughters, Sheila (Garth) Robinson of Hooper, UT; Shauna Rich of Salt Lake City, UT; sisters, LaVene John and Mona (Melvin) Bird, both of Malad; brothers, Grant (Wilma) Williams of Preston, ID; Ken Williams of Malad; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wayne and Dee, his first wife, Vaudis and a stillborn son.
Clem had a great love for his family, had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be on August 19, 2004 in the Malad LDS 2nd/5th Ward Chapel. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery, with military rites accorded by the American Legion Post No. 65.
