Anna Bell Gleed Williams, (1908)

WILLIAMS, ANNA BELL GLEED – October 6, 1908 – December 23, 2003

Anna Bell Gleed Williams, 95, lifetime resident of Malad, and wife of the late Franklin Dale Williams, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003 in the Oneida County Long Term Care Center. She was born October 6, 1908 in Malad, a daughter of henry and Emma Thorpe Gleed. She was raised and educated in Malad and was a graduate of Malad High School. She later attended Stevens-Henager Business College.

Anna Bell married Franklin Dale Williams Sr. on April 12, 1930 in Malad and their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple July 9, 1948. Mr. Williams died December 17, 1980.

She had lived all her life in the Malad Valley. For ten years she had worked for the Oneida School District in the lunch program. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a visiting teacher, Primary secretary and teacher, Relief Society secretary and member of the quilting committee.

She is survived by her children: Franklin Dale, Jr. (Kay) Williams, Shelley, Idahop; Emma Lou (Paul) Irwin, Bountiful, Utah; Sandra (Richard) Dixon, Provo, Utah; Douglas Farrell (Ronda) Williams, Ashland, Oregon; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister (?)….

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, Malad. Burial followed in the Malad City Cemetery.
