Services Tuesday For Mr. Harwood

Clarence Henry (Pat) Harwood, 69, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Malad after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Malad Third ward chapel with Bishop Hubert Gleed officiating.

A son of William Frank Harwood and Lydia Hare Harwood, he was born Dec. 8, 1887 at Chatfield, Minn. He moved west with his parents when he was 17 years old and homesteaded in Oneida county in 1913. Mr. Harwood married Pearl Stella Berlin, Oct. 25, 1912 at Spokane, Wash. They had made their home in Malad since 1940.

Surviving are his widow, two sons, Leland and Owen, all of Malad; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Clarice) Whitnah, Richland, Oregon; Mrs. LaVell (Cletis) McLean, Rockland, Idaho; seven grandchildren and three brothers.
