Clair Harold Monson passed away at home on January 2, 2023 at the age of 66 after an extended battle with a rare form of cancer.
Clair was born on May 8, 1956 to Calvin H and CherĂ­e Lynne Monson in Pocatello Idaho.
He lived throughout the Marsh Valley area including McCammon, Lava Hot Springs, Robin, and Arimo.
Clair married Pam Capell in 1977 in the Manti, Utah LDS temple on March 14, 1978. Clair and Pam have seven children.
Clair was active in his community. He held the position of Arimo city water master and was a volunteer with the Arimo city fire department.
Clair enjoyed the outdoors. From farming with a John Deer or Caterpillar tractor, hunting and fishing, to mountain man rendezvous. Being outside uplifted his spirit.
Clair was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as an adult grew to enjoy the scouting program. He attended Wood Badge and received his Silver Beaver award.
Clair was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his wife of almost forty-five years Pamela (Capell) Monson, his children Danalyne (Blake), Elizabeth (JoMax), Daniel (Aubrey), Emily (Jon), Timothy (Jennifer), Rebecca (Evan) and Steven (Sydnie). Fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as his siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Arimo Idaho LDS Chapel with a viewing prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and Thursday evening from 7-8 pm both at the church.
