MOTHER OF MALAD WOMEN DIES AT LOGAN SUNDAY

Logan-Mrs. Chole Ann Beirdneau Smith, age 93, died Sunday at 12:30 a.m. in a Logan rest home of a long illness.

She was born September 9, 1869 at Logan, a daughter of Nehemiah W. and America Ann Steele Beirdneau.

She was married to Edward G. Smith May 6, 1891 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died December 26, 1929

She was a graduate of B.Y.U. Academy, Logan, 1887. Being an active member of the L.D.S. Church she had served as Relief Society president in Arbon valley and as a visiting teacher. She and her husband homesteaded in Arbon valley.

Surviving are one son and three daughters; Lester Smith, Lorenzo, Idaho; Mrs. Hazel S. Benson and Mrs. Delone S. Larsen, both Malad City; Mrs. Elmira S. Brown, Logan; 22 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service was Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the Nelson Memorial Chapel, Logan, with Bishop Wesley R. Dickerson officiating.

Burial was in the Logan Cemetery directed by Benson Funeral Home, Malad.
