CHARLIE C. TURNER

Charlie C. Turner, 61, of Arbon, died November 21, 1986 in American Falls following a lingering illness.

He was born Sept. 14, 1925 at Arbon to Charles Franklin and Ruth Anna Spain Turner. He attended schools in Arbon, where he had lived most of his life. He was employed at the J.R. Simplot Co. as a machinist and had farmed in the Arbon Valley area for many years. He enjoyed welding as an occupation and as a hobby. He married Ester Douglass Simpson at Pocatello in 1978.

He was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Seabees.

He served in the US Armed Forces during World War Ii. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and dancing.

He is survived by his wife of Pocatello; two sons, Charles L. Turner and Ronald G. Turner, both of American Falls; two daughters, Mrs. J. (Joyce) Foster and Mrs. Robert (Janet) Bernal, Jr., both of American Falls; eight grandchildren; an uncle, Buzz Turner, Arizona; a brother, Delmar Turner of Lenore, ID; six sisters, Zada Hunt Rhoads, California; Eunice Hunt Bailey, Illinois; Doris Robinson, Pocatello; Helen Jones, Blackfoot; Alma Bergstrom Gower, Arizona; and Maralyn Murdock, Boise.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in the Henderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hansen of the United Church of Christ officiating.
