FORMER ONEIDA RESIDENT DIES AT OGDEN

Charles Edwin Showell, 79, Ogden, died Friday in an Ogden hospital and services were held Monday afternoon at Lindquist and Sons’ Colonial Chapel, Ogden.

Burial was at Washington Heights Memorial Park.

Mr. Showell was born May 20, 1884, at Stone, a son of Ed and Annie Anderson Showell. He married Ivy May Parkinson Feb. 7, 1907 at Brigham City. Mr. Showell was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors are his widow; daughter, Mrs. Charles (Ava Marie) Guernsey, Ogden; two grandchildren; brothers, Roy Showell, Malad; Rollin Showell, Stone; Archie Showell, Tremonton.
