CATHERINE SHIRLEY THOMAS HESS

Catherine Shirley Thomas Hess passed away December 4, 2005 in Salt Lake City. She was born August 22, 1926 in Malad, Idaho to Curtis and Catherine Evans Thomas.

She attended school in Malad. In 1943 she met and married Evan Morse Hess. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. She loved going with Evan to the Utah Old Time Fiddlers.

She is survived by her husband, Evan, Children: Catherine (David) Olson, Midvale; Curtis (Sue) Hess, Maumee, Ohio; Gwen Alice (Darnell) Godfrey, Sheridian (sic) Montana; Ellen (Kurt) Lehwalder, Salt Lake; Steven Hess, Plymouth; Roger (Kathy) Hess, Nephi; a brother, Errol (Sue) Thomas, Malad. She has twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and two more due any day. She was preceded in death by Judy Godfrey, Lee Olson, Jessica Lehwalder and Dominique Hess.

There will be a viewing on Friday, December 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 N. 100 E. Tremonton. The funeral will be Saturday, December 10th at 11:00 am, with a viewing one hour prior to the funeral, at the Belmont 1st Ward, 16925 N. 5200 W. West Fielding.
