FLORKE, CAROL REED, September 2, 1916 – November 19, 1983

Carol Reed Florke, 67, died November 19, 1983 at the Oneida County Hospital. She was born to John T. and Mary Josepheson Reed on September 2, 1916 in Daniels, near Malad. She was educated in Daniels where the family farmed and ranched. She had also lived in St. John.

She moved to Glendale, California during World War II and worked for General Control Co. for 16 years.

On November 21, 1951 she married Gareth F. Florke in Mexico. She and her husband lived in several areas of the United States. They were engaged in the antique business. In 1983 they moved to Malad. She was a member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her husband, Malad, and a brother, Sylvester Reed, St. John.

Funeral services were held November 22 at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery
