Our beloved mother, Carma Tubbs Peterson, formally of Middleton, passed away surrounded by her family on March 26, 2014 at the age of 91. Carma was born on the 18th of September, 1922 in Malad, Idaho to James Heber and Rosa Janet Howell Yearsley. She grew up in Woodruff, Idaho and graduated from Malad High School. She married Dean William Tubbs on the 12th of April 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple, Logan, Utah. To this union, six children were born.
Dean was killed in a logging accident in November 1963. Carina married Victor Joseph Peterson in 1973; he passed away in 1999. Carma was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her greatest desire was for her children to follow her example of serving their fellow man
She is survived by her six children: Marvin (Mary-Etta) Tubbs, Doyle (Anell) Tubbs, .leanette (Richard) Hallam, Mane (Doyle) Waldron, Denise (Dickie) White, and Brent (Michelle) Tubbs; four step-children: JoAnn Turner, Glenn (Kristi) Peterson, Gene (Rita) Peterson, and Lynn Peterson; 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Dean and Victor; and son-in-law, Elwin Turner; granddaughters, Laura Tubbs and Jennifer ‘Tubbs.
Carma’s viewings were held on Friday, the 28th of March, 2014 at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, and on Saturday, the 29th of March at the Middleton LDS Stake Center in Caldwell, Idaho.
Her funeral service was held Saturday, March 29. 2014 at LDS Middleton Stake Center. The burial was at the Ola Cemetery. Ola, Idaho, beside her beloved husband Dean. Condolences may be given at w w w. flahifffuneral chapel. com
