Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and sister, Carma Crowther Wright, passed away peacefully on Feb. 25, 2010, after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease and years with a heart condition. She was surrounded by her family members.
Carma was born Oct. 28, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Junius L. and Mary Dredge Crowther. She was raised in Malad, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High and attended BYU where she majored in music and became an accomplished singer. Her goal was to sing opera. She shared her wonderful talent, singing on many occasions at weddings, funeral, at church functions and other occasions.
At BYU she met her 1st husband, Lloyd John Webb and had five children: Mary Ellen Maya Gentry, Las Vegas; Gary Webb (Shelley) Orem; Sheldon Webb (Pamela) Mesa; Douglas Webb, Cedar City and Terri (Mark Lisanbee) Park City.
Carma is survived by her husband, Preston Dean Wright. They were married May 28th 2004. On March 29th, 2008 they were sealed in the Timpanogos temple. As Carma battled Alzheimer’s, Preston patiently, tenderly, and with kindly love took care of our dear mother. For this we will ever be grateful.
She is survived by her children; two sisters, Carol (Dee) Sharp, American Fork; Rosemary (Leo Wilcox) Farmington; Vella (Keith Perkins) Orem; Marjean (Wilford Crowther) Bountiful and one brother Sheldon Crowther (Sharolyn) Orem.
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Junius and Wilford Crowther, grandson Myran Webb and granddaughter Emily Webb, also by 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Mother, we know today you are having a great day as you read this. We love you very much and we will miss you greatly.
We are all grateful to the wonderful ladies who work at Life Path Hospice for their loving, tender care, and the kindness shown to our precious mother, as she showed to many throughout her life working as a hospice nurse for many years.
