LAVA HOT SPINGS – Carl Myers Roberds, 71, Lava Hot Springs, died Saturday, April 27, 1985, in Pocatello Regional Medical Center following an illness.

He was born February 28, 1914, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Ottis and Ethel Myers Roberds and was reared in Kansas where he received his schooling.

For 17 years, he lived in Kansas City, Missouri, and was a taxi cab driver. In 1962 he moved to Lava Hot Springs.

He married Trella Pollisero and they later divorced.

On January 20, 1963 he married Margaret Hershey at McCammon and they have made their home in Lava Hot Springs.

He was past president of the Lava Lions Club and greatly enjoyed playing pool.

Survivors include his wife of Lava Hot Springs; two sons, Carl Gene Roberds, Independence, Mo.; Marlin Arndt, Elizabethtown, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Florence) Kauffman, Elizabethtown; a brother, Glenn Roberds, Winterhaven, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 2, 1985, in the Lava Hot Springs LDS Ward Chapel with Wallace Whitehead, former bishop, officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7.
