Beverly Ann Bell Phillips

Beverly Ann Bell Phillips returned home to her Heavenly Father, August 26, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born February 10, 1935 in Pocatello, Idaho to Morris Charles and Rebecca Kathryn (Ivers) Bell. She married her high school sweetheart, Ray H. Phillips, May 22, 1953 and was later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. She was an example of love, kindness, and perseverance; especially her angelic service to her husband Ray with his physical limitations. She loved the Savior and spent her life serving Him and others. She had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ.

Beverly spent the majority of her life in Inkom. She attended Inkom Elementary and graduated from Inkom High School in 1953, where she participated in cheerleading and student government. She loved spending her winter months in Las Vegas with family members there.

Beverly loved serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Young Women’s president, in the stake Relief Society presidency, and many other teaching callings. She also loved studying the scriptures, General Conference talks, and attending the temple.

Beverly was a hard worker and a dedicated educator. She taught at Inkom Elementary for 29 years, a few of those years in the gifted education program, and two years as principal. She loved helping youth prepare for the future with one of her mottos being “work first and play second”.

Beverly loved to travel with her family and some of her most memorable trips were to the British Isles, Hawaii, Mexico, Washington DC, Mount Rushmore and San Diego. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Beverly was well known for her kindness and enjoyment of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with many she met. Beverly and her husband Ray have been blessed with a wonderful family of two sons and one daughter.
