POCATELLO: Beula Lorraine O’Keefe, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday July 12, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born February 22, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho to Chester L. and Dora L. (Dawson) Brillhart; Beula attended schools in Pocatello.
She married John L. O
Keefe on June 21, 1955 in Malad, Idaho .
Beula owned and operated a floral shop in Malad called the Blossom Shop for 20 years. She moved back to Pocatello in 1955 and worked for the School District #25 in the cafeteria.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to crochet and do plastic canvas. She was an incredible florist and did beautiful arrangements. She also made the bows for all the arrangements. She loved bowling and camping with family and friends.
Beula is survived by her daughters: Sheena McCoy, and Joni O’Keefe, both of Pocatello; siblings: Betty L. Burt, Fort Hall; Barbara Littleford, Pocatellp; Blaine Brillhart, Phoenix, Arizona and Bernadine Kissel, Pocatello. She is also survived by five children: Jennifer Roderick, John Henry Roderick, Bridgett Leavitt, Amber Jeppson and Robert McCoy and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. O’Keefe, parents, a sister, Beverly Feld, and infant brothers: Larry and Bobby Brillhart.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 17, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave., Pocatello. The viewing will be held Friday evening July 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
