Bertha Thomas Colley

Bertha Thomas Colley, former resident of Malad, passed away Feb. 11, 1994 in La Habra Heights, California. She was the daughter of William Henry Thomas and Sarah Jane Williams. She was born Sept. 20. 1893. Bertha celebrated her 100th birthday last year. Her husband of 62 years, Neeley M. Colley, preceeded her in death in March, 1984. She is survived by a son Neeley M. Colley Jr. and his wife Dixie; a daughter, Iva May Boyer and husband Lawrence R. Boyer. Bertha was the grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 19. She was the eldest of seven children and the last to be ‘called home’. He {sic} siblings were Bessie Pinson, Russell, Sam, Arnold, Virgil and Neal.

Family members from this area attending the services were Monte Thomas, Malad, Idaho and Linda and Jimmy Chadburne of Syracuse, Utah. Bertha was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and belonged to the Santa Gertrude Ward in Whittier, California.

Burial was in the Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.
