Benjamin A. Richards

Benjamin A. Richards, age 86, passed away Sept. 28, 1992, at the home of a daughter in Sandy, Utah.

He was born April 19, 1906, in Malad City, Idaho, to Fredrick James and Sarah Jane Adams Richards. He married Violet M. Revoir on Dec. 22, 1930 in Turner, Caribou County, Idaho; the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She died May 7, 1985.

He was an active member of the LDS Church, and was a high priest and home teacher. He was a carpenter for 25 years, employed by Carter Oil for 10 years, and also was employed by the state of Idaho, Department of Highways for 10 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William B. (Joy) Thompson, Ann LaVatta and Lana Richards, all of Sandy, Utah; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred, six sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, 1992, in Sandy, Utah. Funeral directors are Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, Murray, Utah. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello, on Thursday at 330 p.m.
