BENJAMEN “LaMON” THOMAS

WASHINGTON TERRACE – Benjamen “LaMon” Thomas, husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2000.

He was born in Malad, Idaho on February 5, 1940 to Benjamin and Margaret Archibald Thomas.

He married Patricia Christiansen in 1957. They were later divorced. He later married Jolene Pace in 1974.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a welder for Eaton-Kenway in Bountiful.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and square dancing with the Wild Bunch.

Surviving are his wife, Jolene Thomas, three sons and three daughters, Rodney Thomas, Steven Thomas, Benjamin Thomas, Theresa (Frank) Newbery, Bonnie Herzet, Christine (Trent) Andreason, 23 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving aree two brothers and three sisters David Robert (Dermeta) Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Kathy (William) Vlaanderen, JoAnn (Charles) James, and Marilyn Howard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son John, grandson John, and brother Jay.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Thursday, August 10th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
