MALAD – Beatrice Anna Weeks Dennis, 86, Malad, died Wednesday (23 Nov 1983) in the Oneida County Hospital.

She was born April 12, 1897 in Smithfield, Utah, to Joseph Henry and Eliza Beatrice Smith Weeks. She attended schools in Smithfield.

She married Thomas Julian Dennis December 6, 1916 in Smithfield. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1949. Mr. Dennis died June 15, 1966.

After marriage they moved to the Daniels area near Malad, where they farmed. For 67 years she lived in Daniels and Malad.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had been active in Relief Society, was a teacher in Sunday School and primary and had served in the primary presidency.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Julian Dennis, Pacifica, Calif., and Ronald Cleon Dennis, Tremonton, Utah; three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Ardith) Rigby, Sublette; Mrs. Paul (Mona) Kelsey, Portland Ore.; and Mrs. E. L. (LaNae) Urbani, Santa Clara, Calif., 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Duane Josie Lower, Ogden, Utah; and Mrs. Mathew Frances Ewing, Sebastopol, Calif., 11 stepsisters and two step-brothers.

Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Malad LDS First Ward Chapel, Bishop Sheldon Jensen officiating.
