AUSTIN TIPPETS

Austin Doris Tippets, 81, Malad, died March 8, 1984 at the Oneida County Nursing Home.

He was born April 19, 1902 in Richmond, UT to William Nelson and Catherine Hendricks Tippets.

He married Alethea Margaretta Nattress November 17, 1921 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized Sept. 14, 1970 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died October 20, 1980.

Most of his life he worked in construction. For many years he worked for Marion Hess Construction Co. and was also self employed as a truck driver.

He was a member of the LDS Church and served as a ward clerk and a home teacher.

Survivors include a son, Ray DeVon Tippetts, Riverton, UT; two daughters, Mrs. laVere (Joyce) Nieffenegger, Malad; and Mrs. Max (JoAnn) Estep, Harrisville, UT; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at Benson Horsley Funeral Home with Bishop Howard May officiating. Burial was in a Salt Lake City cemetery.
