LODI, California- Ardella Huntsman Russell, 83, passed away Tues, September 12, 1995 at her home after a lengthy fight with cancer.

She was born July 29, 1912, in Samaria, Idaho, a daughter of Jesse and Harriet Huntsman. She was raised in Ogden and after graduating from Ogden High School she married J. Norman Russell on October 23, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Russell worked for Sperry Flour Company, the predecessor to General Mills, which transferred the Russells to various plants around the country.

In 1947 they were sent to Lodi, California to build and open the plant there. Since Mr. Russells retirement in 1975, he and Mrs. Russell have traveled extensively around the world.

Mrs. Russell was an active member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are her husband, J. Norman Russell, Lodi, CA.; her son Norman W, Russell, Las Vegas, NV.; and two sisters, Lavon Fitzpatrick, Las Vagas, NV., Edith Tolman, Fallon, NV.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jesse Huntsman of Elko, NV., and Cecil Huntsman of Ogden; one sister, Zella Kapp of Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. At Lundquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
