Dr. Leno D. Seppi, retired dentist, passed away at his home in Lava Hot Springs on Monday, Nov. 6, 1995.

He was born in Sunnyside, Utah, to David and Rosa Baldini Seppi on Dec. 13, 1921. He moved to lava Hot Springs at the age of 5, where he attended elementary and high school. He graduated from Idaho State University, where he was a member of the ISU football team, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.

He graduated from Case Western Reserve Dental School in Cleveland, Ohio. He practiced dentistry in Downey, Idaho until his retirement in 1987. He had served as staff sergeant in the Reconnaissance Division of the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe.

He served as mayor of Lava Hot Springs, president of the State Board of Education, Western Interstate Commission of Higher Education, board member of Pocatello Regional Medical Center, and president of the Idaho Dental Association.

He was an active member of the ISU Alumni Association, serving as the president, and received the ISU Distinguished Alumni Award in 1978.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, lava Hot Springs; children, Kurt and Ann Seppi, Twin Falls, Brian and Kathleen Seppi, Spokane, Wash., Lisa and Bill McNabb, Pocatello; and grandchildren, Kristen Griffin, Catlin and Austin McNabb, Jessica, David and Peter Seppi, and Justin and Nathan Seppi. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Lillian, and daughter Kathleen.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 10, 1995, in Lava Hot Springs at the LDS Church, Spring and Forth Avenue West, at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery, with military rites by the Lava American Legion Post No. 21. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Manning-Wheatley Funeral Homes, 510 N. 12th Ave., Pocatello.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kathleen Seppi Memorial Scholarship Fund at Marsh Valley, High School.
