Archie Myrle Nalder

NALDER, ARCHIE MYRLE – June 21, 1915 – February 2, 2003
Archie Myrle Nalder, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2003, in the Oneida County Hospital of cancer.

He was born June 21, 1915, in Kaysville, Utah, a son of Archie H. and Clara Webb Nalder. He married Lola Steed on May 7, 1937 in Malad, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, May 4, 1979. His wife, Lola, passed away August 7, 1987 at the age of 68.

Archie served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He worked for the Oneida County Conservation District. In 1956 he moved to Terry, Montana to work for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, a job he worked at for 21 years, before moving back to Holbrook in 1977. Archie was an active member and high priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Madsen; two grandchildren, Brenda dn Michael Madsen; and six great-grandchildren: Thomas, Tamara, Tiffany, Austin, Shayla and Marilyn Madsen of Meridian, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 6 at 12 noon in the Holbrook LDS Ward building. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the Holbrook Chruch from 10:30 – 11:45 a.m.

Burial will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post #65.
