FUNERAL MONDAY FOR MRS. D.S. THOMAS

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Martina Larson Thomas, 83, widow of David S. Thomas, who died August 18, 1952 at the Oneida hospital, were held in the St. John ward LDS chapel Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Melvin Yearsley in charge.

The prayer at the home was offered by Arch Harris; invocation, Weldon Jensen; benediction, Nolan Blaisdell; dedication of the grave, Harold Jones; prelude and postlude, Miriam Talbot. The speakers were J.M. Isaacson and James B. Jones, Bishop Yearsley gave the obituary. The musical numbers consisted of solos by John Arlen Jones and Pearl Monson accompanied by Mary Jensen and Kate Jones and H.M. Williams accompanied by Miriam Talbot.

She was born July 27, 1868 at Logan, a daughter of James and Annie Sorensen Larson. The family moved to Malad, Nov. 12, 1876. They made their home on the Tom Roland homestead at St. John.

She was married to David Stephens Thomas at St. John, January 1, 1886. Mr. Thomas worked as a freighter at Kelton at the time of their marriage and he later went into the cattle business.

In the spring of 1888 the couple settled in Big Hold Basin, near Dillon, MT, and later returned to Malad Valley where they operated a sheep ranch.

Mrs. Thomas was active in community affairs. Mr. Thomas died at St. John, October 24, 1939.
