OGDEN_ Andrew Laurence Morse, 87, died Tuesday, May 2, 1995 at his home.

He was born May 12, 1907 in Sameria, Idaho, a son of Arthur and Mary Atkinson Morse.

He was reared and educated in Idaho and Utah.

On Aug. 8, 1941 he married Ella Oborn in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor. He retired after working for 47 years.

He was active all his life in the LDS Church, serving as a High Priest in the Odgen 54th Ward, and also as a teacher in the Priesthood, Sunday School and scouts.

He was member of the Elks and the Railroad Union.

He loved his family, reading and outdoor activities. He was a very creative handyman and enjoyed his yard and home.

He is survived by his wife, Ella, Odgen; one son, David (Kathy) Morse, Syracuse; one daughter, Susan (Leo) Chidester, Odgen; and one step-son, Ernest (Darlene) Passey, Enid, Oklahoma.

Also surviving one sister, Mary (Al) Vanderkool, Odgen; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 11;00 a.m. At Leavitt’s Chapel of Flowers Mortuary, 836-36th Street. Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 608 and Saturday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park.
