Amy Marie Call Howell

HOWELL, AMY – October 19, 1925 – February 25, 2006

Amy Marie Call Howell passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Salt lake City. Amy was born October 19, 1925 to Sidney Call and Amy Ford in Malad, ID. She was raised in Centerville, UT and then in Wapello, ID where she graduated from Firth High School. She met her husband, Noel Howell, while working in Los Angeles, CA. Amy served an LDS mission to the East Central States. She and Noel were married in 1950 in the Idaho Falls Temple and raised their five children in Salt Lake City. Amy lost her husband to illness in 1966. She dedicated her energy to loving, protecting, and teaching her children. In later years she dedicated many years of service as a Senior Companion in the Salt Lake County Aging Services.

We will miss her quiet humility, her strong independence, her mischievous, dry sense of humor, and her unconditional love.

Amy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Bonnie Bergeson. She is survived by her brothers, Ford Call and Monte Call, her sisters, Elna Marlowe, Geneal Cooper and Emma Jean Rindfleisch, her children, Teressa, Murray, Nolan, Kelly and Jeff, and by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon Rim 1st Ward Chapel, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at Starks Funeral Parlor, Salt Lake City Friday, 4-7 p.m. or Saturday at the chapel from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements by Starks Funeral Parlor. Interment at Holladay Memorial Park.
