ALMA C. REYNOLDS

Alma Reynolds dies of extended illness

Alma C. Reynolds, age 77, of Malad, died March 21, 1979 in the Oneida County Hospital of a long illness.

He was born Sept. 26, 1901 at Castle Dale, Utah, a son of Francis Marion and Mary Andersen Reynolds.

He married Velma Buxton June 2, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He owned and operated a fox farm for several years in Driggs, Idaho; employed by Union Pacific Railroad in Pocatello 1943-1948; owned and operated the Malad Laundry and **cleaning business until his retirement in 1968.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission in Australia in 1923.

Survivors include his widow of Malad; three sons and one daughter: Carlyle[sic] Reynolds; Seattle, Washington; Elden J. Reynolds, Inkom, Idaho; Don Francis Reynolds, Vienna, Virginia; Mrs. Robert (Ilene) Parker, Pleasant Grove, Utah; one brother, Merrill Reid Reynolds, Orem, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Eddington, Oakland, California; Mrs. LaPriel Hatfield, Provo; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Service

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Benson Funeral Home with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating.

Prelude and postlude music was given by Helen Ward, who also played a piano solo, ‘O My Father’ . Family members sang, ‘That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine.’ Speaker was Lloyd Sweeten. Flowers were cared for by the 2nd Ward Relief Society, Glenda Jenson, president.

Casket bearers were Carlyle Reynolds, Elden Reynolds, Don Reynolds, Kelly Reynolds, Robert Parker and Larry Bolton.

Interment was in the Malad City Cemetery.
