MALAD — Alice Stuart Christophersen, 73, 129 S. Main, Malad, died Friday (30 May 1986) at her home of heart failure.

She was born Dec. 30, 1912, in Malad to Evan and Marie Williams Stuart. She grew up and was educated in Malad and was graduated from Malad High School.

She married Varsel L. Christophersen on July 7, 1935, in Malad. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

As a young woman, she was employed by Utah Poultry in Malad for 10 years. She later worked for the Oneida County Grocery, Crowthers Mill and the R.V. Daniels Drug Store.

She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a primary teacher, MIA teacher, secretary of the Relief Society and Relief Society visiting teacher. She was also a member of the Malad Kith Club.

She is survived by her husband, Malad; two sons, Varsel E. Christophersen and Robert L. Christophersen, both of Malad; one daughter, Mrs. Mike (Mary Alice) Telford, Malta; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be noon Tuesday in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel with Counselor Frank Gunnell officiating. Friends may call the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday from noon until time of services. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery.
