Funeral Friday For Alice K. Peabody

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice K. Peabody were held Friday, Dec. 24, 1965, at the Malad First Ward chapel with Bishop Conrad Alder officiating.

The family prayer at the home was by William Colton.

At the chapel the speakers were Bishop Alder, Dr. Thomas W. Richards, William H. Rutter; vocal solos, Eldon Corbridge and Helen E. Jones; violin solo, Fern Willie; invocation, Errol Williams benediction, Charles Buehler; organ prelude and postlude, Myra Jean John; accompanists, Lynda Collings and Myra Jean John.

Concluding rites were at the Malad City Cemetery with James Vaughan offering the dedicatory prayer.

Casket bearers were Arthur I. Peabody, Tim Campbell, Bill Cooper, Monty Campbell, Urcle[sic] Campbell, Jr., Gary Campbell.

Mrs. Peabody was born April 3 [5], 1883, at Malad, the daughter of Daniel R. and Ann Elizabeth Colton Evans. She married Isaac Peabody Dec. 31, 1903, at Malad. He died in 1942.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and War Mothers.

Survivors include four sons; William, Arnold, Lester and Arthur, all of Malad; two daughters, Mrs. Urcle (Frances) Campbell of Thompson Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Earl (Ann-E) Cooper of Blackfoot; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Sarah Jane K. Evans and Miss Charlotte K. Evans, both of Malad.

MALAD, Idaho — Mrs. Alice K. Evans Peabody, 82, Malad, died Tuesday in a Malad hospital after a short illness. Born April 5, 1883, Malad City, to Daniel R. and Ann Elizabeth Colton Evans. Married to Isaac Peabody Dec. 31, 1903, Malad. He died 1942. Active member LDS Church, War Mothers. Survivors: sons, daughters, William, Arnold, Lester, Arthur, Malad City; Mrs. Urcle Campbell, Thompson Falls, Mont.; Mrs. Earl Cooper, Blackfoot; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Jane K.
