Albert Madsen, Tyhee, Killed in Car Accident

Albert D. Madsen, 19, Tyhee, was killed Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1963 and a Pocatello man injured in a one-car accident east of Heyburn, Idaho.

Madsen, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Madsen of Tyhee and former Malad residents, died of multiple injuries when he was thrown from a car driven by Wiliam Iverson, 21. Accident happened about 3:55 a.m. on Interstate Highway 80. State Patrolman Roy Thomas said Iverson apparently fell asleep at the wheel of Madsen’s car which overturned.

Both men were thrown from the car. Madsen’s body was found 127 feet from the car in a hay field and Iverson was about 20 feet from the auto.

Surviving the victim are his wife, the former Deleana Wilson, a daughter and his parents.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Tyhee Chapel under the direction of the Manning Funeral Home
