Clayton Ivan Neaman

DURHAM, N.C. – Clayton Ivan Neaman, 43, died October 30 1998 at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

He was born November 21, 1954 in Malad, Idaho, the son of Linford and Margaret Perdash Neaman.

He married Leona Ariwite. They were later divorced.

He received his education at Bear River High School in Tremonton, Utah, and Boise State University. He had worked as a tribal police officer in Yakima, Washington. He worked as a reserve officer for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe. He was also a probation officer for Bingham County, Idaho.

He serves as a member of the United States Army Special Forces and the National Guard Reserve. He served in Vietnam, and was also stationed in Germany.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his three children, William, Logan (Natalie) and Joshua “Crow Iron:” a brother, Larry (JoDean) Neaman; sisters, Elva Schramm, Darlene Taylor, Linda (J.C.) Hernandez, Enid (Asaki) Lamelangi, Carolyn Neaman, Dessie Fonohema, Cindy (Ivan) Shay; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and an uncle, who reared him.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at 11 a.m. at the Portage LDS Ward Chapel, 8910 West 25800 North, Portage, Utah. Friends may call Friday, Nov. 6, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah, and Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Washakie Cemetery.
